Hello buddies. Yep, Megaupload has been taken down. However I need to ask you guys to send me all the files you downloaded from me before, because easily I lost 30% of them due to hard drive re-formatting. From now on I'll try to upload these files on more than one hosting at a time to possibly avoid this situation in the future. It's been shit, actually, because there was also legal content that had been uploaded to MU by lots of people, and I fear it's never coming back.
I already reuploaded the PLDX effects, and will reupload the Tron ones whenever I get the full rar file (as of now I just have the consistency-safe particles)
Any chance you can upload what you already have? No rush, really, I just had that burst of inspiration a person gets every once in a while to edit something and, much to my dismay, I just found that the particles were on MU...which got taken down...

Bolty, what were the files for the Stylized Medigun beam? I've still got it installed, so I'll put it up, but I forget which files are the relevant ones. medicgun_attrib, medicgun_beam, medicgun_beam_dx80, item_fx_stylized_medicgun_beam, and... is that it? Or were there more?
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I see what I did. The original files were medicgun_attrib, medicgun_beam, medicgun_beam_dx80, item_fx, and item_fx_dx80. Both item_fx and item_fx_dx80 got outdated, and I ended up saving the old one from Stylized healbeams as that long-named file. Bolty, where should I send the files? I believe the only things that need to be redone in item_fx/dx80 are the healhuff stuff, just a copyover into the normal item_fx. Not sure how to do that.

I have a high end computer and I can use these particles while maintaining 60+ fps but when I shoot flames or use the minigun HL2.exe crashes.
